Why hello gorgeous! I'm glad you're here! My name is Lisa Mecham, founder and designer behind the blog, Creative Fashion Blog, and now this store, Creative Fashion Boutique.

In designing this brand, I wanted to create pieces that showcased your skills, your talents, your hobbies, your business, and worked as conversation starters as well.

How It Started:

When I was pregnant with my son back in 2008, I became hell-bent to create a way to work from home. I desperately wanted to be there for him every single day and struggled with the idea of dropping him off with a stranger at a daycare. After being introduced to sewing by creating a baby blanket with my mom, I decided this was it! I would practice and get better and sell my creations online to help pay the bills and never go back to work again.

I busted my butt and opened my first Etsy shop. Then, I worked harder as a vendor at almost every craft show and market in town. I wasn’t looking to “get rich” or anything, I just wanted to bring in enough money so I could spend more time with my baby boy.

What’s It All About:

For me, the hardest part of running a handmade business was being able to talk to other people about it. Honestly, it felt a little like playing house… like I was just pretending to own a business until someone busted me.

In designing a line for Creative Fashion Boutique, I wanted to create products that solved that particular problem. I wanted to design pieces that did the basic part of the awkward introduction for you, that piqued other’s interests in your hobbies and business without you needing to say a word.

At launch, I have pieces designed for painters, photographers, sewists, and handmade entrepreneurs. We also have t-shirts for all crafters and makers. Each shirt is printed out of my new warehouse in California and printed on American Apparel shirts, so each product is made entirely in the USA under fair and humane circumstances.

The Big Plans:

Usually, having clothing made in America brings the price tag wwaaayyyy up. I’ve crunched the numbers and have kept every shirt to under $30 with most of them sitting around $24. Plus, you can use coupon code: FREESHIPPING on any orders over $30

In the near future, I’ll be working to expand the line to include coffee mugs, backpacks, more sweaters, and maybe even kids clothing. Since I’ll be designing new products each week, shoot me an email at Lisa@CreativeFashionBlog.com so I can be sure to design things your interested in!
